Arinc 629 Data Communication Card Based On Pci Interface Development

Because of the well application of a new type of aviation data bus standard named ARINC629 in the Boeing 777. The development and design of ARINC629 system which is complied with ARINC629 specification will be the future trend of aviation industry. In this paper, the research of ARINC629 communication card is discussed which is used in the Test & Diagnosis platform for the aviation electronic equipment with ARINC629 interface in. It is the plan for testing and studying the avionic device by means of PC in the future.At first, this paper introduces the receiving and transmitting mechanism about the ARINC629 data based on the ARINC629 protocol. With the computer interface technology, it gives the whole design of the communication card which is divied into three modules, such as the PCI bus interface module, the subsytem processer and memory module and the ARINC629 bus interface module.During the introducing of the ARINC629 bus interface module, the paper details the connection of the protocol chips and the receiving and transmitting process of the ARINC629 data. Because there is much less referance about the protocol chips, it also explains the pins and the internal registers of the chips. In the subsystem processor and memory module, the logical relationship between the chips and the addressing assignment about the memory chips are clarified. The PCI bus interface module details the using of the PCI9052 to address the external memory and designs the PCI driver program under the Windows 2000 operating system with the driver program development tool DriverStudio.Finally, the thesis work is concluded and some suggestions are advised for future study.
