The computerized embroidery machine is a device with the development of electronics and mechanical automation, it increases the productivity of textile industry. The computerized embroidery with high performance is becoming more and more popular with the increase of requirement of embroidery. In our Country the thechnology of the embroider machin's control system has dropped behind the developed country, but our country has the strong require of textile, so the research of the computer embrtoider machine must be payed more and more attentions.Based on the analysis of construction and function of the system, the project proposes a design of an embedded control system based on ARM and CPLD for the embroidery machine.In the control system, we use S3C44B0 to be the core controller and develop some function modules: USB HOST controller, LCD, real time clock, UART port and 2 Mbyte FLASH. Coprocessor EPM570T144C5 of Altera Company increases the number of I/O port and manages the external interrupt.hi this control system, we use SL811HST chip to be the USB interface chip, develop a flash disk file access system based on the FAT 16 file systerm of Microsoft. The flash disk's application has become more extensive. This control system's application has proved the embroider machine contorl system have good perfomance and stablity, is novel practicable control system.
