Oil-Pumping unit is the necessary equipment in oil exploitation. In the oil industry, high loss of the energy is a common problem, the electric power consumption for oil-pumping is about 80% of the total power consumption of the oil field. So it can make a good benefit to change the mechanical system and electrical control system of the oil-pumping unit.According to the development of the oil-pumping unit and kinds of new technologies, we develop a new structure oil-pumping unit which is directly driven by a novel permanent magnet synchronous motor. Compared with the traditional beam-pumping unit, this new one has the advantages of simple structure, high efficiency, etc.As a part of the project, the aim of this paper is to research and design the control system for the novel oil-pumping unit. The main works of this dissertation are as follows:1, Design the new oil-pumping unit and the structure of the novel permanent magnet synchronous motor with others.2, Research the control methods of the motor including the FOC and DTC, and simulate the control strategy using the MATLAB/Simlink software.3, Design a DSP-based control system for the novel permanent magnet synchronous motor of the oil-pumping unit independently.4, Accomplish the control system and had test it. At the end of this paper, we give out the waves that measured at the different running states of the control system which can prove the system has good performance.The oil-pumping unit driven by the novel permanent magnet synchronous motor is good in working capability and energy saving and can be applied to the oil exploitation.
