Traditional radar signal source usually fixes several sets of parameters according to system demand; exterior selects multi-waveform and different parameters,it is difficult to change the parameters. Software based on PC controls signal source, can change different signal parameters in real time to generate arbitrary waveform.This article introduce a waveform generator base on PCI's instrument and structure. First analysis the theoretics and the error mode of the waveform generator, second introduce the PCI structure, third recommend how to accomplish the software and hardware of the waveform generator, at last provide the whole system test result and conclusion. Prove the feasibility and practicability of the waveform generator base on PCI form in theoretics and practice.The waveform generator introdued by this article ,can generate waveform frequce from 0 to 50 M Hz,pluse distance from 10 us to 200 us. The primary work in this dissertation:(1) Discuss the theory of DDS and project implement.(2) Based on PCI, finish plan of the project, hardware design and debugging of wide signal source of radar. The system can produce Single, LFM and other arbitrary waveform.(3) Finish the driver program of PCI based on Windows.(4) Design a set of control software with full function and can control signal source in real time, using WinDriver.(5) Debug the whole system including the application program, driver program and hardware; test the result of the system.
