In this dissertation the improvement of 100MHz random sampling digital storage oscilloscope is discussed. The main task of this project is to improve the circuit and monitor program of the oscilloscope based on the former one, changing and re-designing some parts of the circuit and monitor program to obtain higher performance and lower cost.During the project, the processing capability of the oscilloscope system has been greatly improved, display performance has been promoted, and meanwhile, the cost has been decreased by reasonably choosing ARM7 processor that has its own LCD controller. All of those mentioned above lead to higher performance and lower cost.During the project, my tasks are listed below:1. Re-designed the monitor circuit of the oscilloscope.2. Designed a new display interface by the own LCD controller of the processor.3. Changed some parts of the sampling circuit.4. Designed the driver program for the hardware.5. Take part in the transplantation of monitor program. So far, the prototype of this project has been successfully made, the debugging of hardware and drivers has been accomplished, and the transplantation of the monitor program will be finished soon. We are testing the universal performance of the oscilloscope. Up to now, many parameters have indicated that the performance has been enhanced rapidly.
