The performance of maglev train's brake system concerns the security of transportation directly. The main research of the subject is the design of mechanical brake system and how to improve the EMS Low-Speed magnetic levitation train mechanical brake system's performance index.Three kinds of mechanical brake including air brake, hydraulic pressure brake and air-hydraulic pressure brake are given according to the second demonstrative maglev train which is amending. Based on the actual conditions of the sample maglev train and technical indicator, we chose air-hydraulic pressure brake, and have confirmed that it is feasible by the experiment. In order to reach more excellent result, we gave a control strategy of atmospheric pressure feedback and acceleration feedback. First we analyzed the model of the whole system, and designed a PID control algorithms according to the performance index of the brake system; As the coefficient of friction of the brake system and quality of the maglev train is variable, we designed a adaptive control method, tracking the change of the structure parameter in the brake system by adjusting the parameter of the adaptive controller, and has carried on theory analysis and emulation to verify. This thesis applies the computer control to the mechanical brake system of the maglev train for the first time. Through the technology of utilizing industrial computer, numerical control, data gathering etc, we designed the hardware platforms and software systems of computer brake system, realized the automatic control and monitoring of the brake system, and tested it by utilizing the controller parameters designed in the brake system. Test result proved that the computer-controlled brake system is faster, more stable and dependable, computer-controlled brake system is new break-through in the mechanical brake system of maglev train.
