Cable arch bridge is a new tape structure emergent in recent years, it is also a combination system of cable and arch bridge, few researches have been done on it till now,this article is the first one to analysis its static performance.The finite element combined with Matlab calculation method is applicated to analysis the cable tensions under the dead loads, according to the characteristics of the cable arch bridge, five methods including minimum the total energy of arch , minimum the bending strain energy of arch, the weighted of cable tensions, minimum the pressure line from the arch are choosed to analysis it .After comparing the result of cable tensions and finished dead state of cable arch bridge,the characteristic of Cable arch bridge's Opitimization was noted as well as suggestions on Opitimization was given.When several major design parameters that the stiffness of arch ,the highth of cable tower ,the spacing of cable anchored in the arch were changed, the influence line of Stress in the arch feed cut, L/4 cut and arch top cut, and the station of arch under the asymmetric uniform load and vehicle load were researched by finite beam element method.So reasonable structure disposal are suggest.Besides,giving the use example of cable arch in the arched bridge construction projects.
