This paper starts with the expressway maintenance system of our country, has analyzed expressway maintenance management of Hebei province, has based on the expressway maintenance management system of developed country, has brought forward a viewpoint that expressway maintenance should realize market tendency. This paper has analyzed the necessity and the feasibility of expressway maintenance's market tendency, and the support of the government policy to maintenance's market tendency. Then, has put forwards the expressway maintenance's market tendency model, and has discussed its application. Finally it has compared the market tendency model with the traditional model from two parts: advantages and disadvantages, and has analyzed some parts of market tendency model, such as setting up specialization maintenance company, carrying out the system of bidding and management by contract.
