The automobile suspension is a multi-body system and the motion relationship among the parts is very complicated, so it brings many difficulties to compute the various characteristics with traditional computation methods. The Automobile suspension kinetics and dynamic simulation has been a very important task in automobile design and development and it provides a rapid and effective method to design automobile suspension.Concentrated on a certain kind of IVECO suspension, this paper uses the special software Pro/Engineer to set up 3D solid model of the suspension to get the necessary parameters. By using the special software MSC.ADAMS to set up the multi-rigid-body dynamics simulation model, and to run some simulation experiments of the front suspension. According to the simulation results, we can analyse the wheel alignment parameters and prove whether the structure of the suspension meet the design requirements. Building the suspension test-bed and carrying out the suspension experiments, the practical test results show that dynamic simulation model is correct by comparing with the simulation results. Meanwhile, by using ADAMS/lnsight to run the parameter analysis and experiment design, we will optimize the unsatisfactory wheel alignment parameters finally.
