This paper takes the water-intake slope as the research object. As the excavation works of the water-intake slope is of the most importance among all important things, during the excavation period, whether the slope is stable has close correlation to the security during construction period and the progress of the whole project .Embarking from the construction and the movement security angle, carrying on the stable monitoring and analysis to the slope has the important project significance.The primary coverage of this paper is the water-intake slope stability and deformation behaviors during excavation and taking protection period, so results of monitoring and simulation during this period are analyzed sufficiently.This paper narrated briefly the methods of investigation into slope stability as well as the monitoring technology development and application in Geotechnical Engineering. The author introduced the side slope project monitoring technology application in detail. The monitoring results of the water-intake slope are analyzed sufficiently. The influence factors analysis not only might use in the water-intake slope, but also will have the reference value for the later similar slope projects stable analysis and processing. Monitoring information feedback plays an important role in modifying design and guiding construct.This paper uses FLAC to simulate the slope excavation process. During this process, the author simulates and calculates the slope deformation for two conditions, one is taking no protection, and the other is under protection. Through comparing the two results to declare that taking some method to support is necessary, and to examine and certify that the protection is effectiveness.By comparing simulation results and monitoring results to analyze slope deformation characteristic, discover the difference between the two catalogue results, analyze flaws existing in the model as well as the deficiency of actual construction, all of which will be perfected in future work.
