| Electrical eddy current retarder is an important assistant continuous braking device, which is self-existent to main braking system and parking braking system, it is indispensable to the commercial vehicle running on the mountain road. Electrical eddy current retarder can take on 50-90 percent braking work, which cool the wheel clutch greatly, thereby, electrical eddy current retarder can keep wheel braking system in order to work. Beside, using electrical eddy current brake also can make the vehicle run more smoothly and decrease the noise effectively while braking.The paper analyzes the present status of our country road firstly, finds out the necessity of using the retarder, expounds the structure operating principle installation and the service performance of electrical eddy current retarder. In order to make operation convenient, lessen weary and rasie safety on the continuous downhill road, the study puts forward intelligent control method on continuous braking system of the electrical eddy current retarder, and designs intelligent control system basing on Protel 99 SE. At last, the thesis brings forward testing method on the all-around test bed of coach-bus chasis.The study lays a foundation of products development. |
