Automatic Storage & Retrieval System is a kind of high-tech intensive mechatronics products, which integrates information, storage and management. Hay stackers are the key equipments. An experimental desk(ED) is a platform that simulates the really system and studies the management and control technology. Under the background of development of the experimental desk, the design of mechanical structures and control systems of ED are studied, which are in great value of application.The experiment desk system was divided into three parts in the whole as the analysis and the simulation of AS/RS. One was design scheme of the shelfs of ED, which was to create a solid environment and provide the foundation condition for studying the hay stacker and the test localization addressing; The second was to design the hay stacker system which used simplifies systematically installs, the reasonable movement way to simulate the reality process of delivering and accessing the goods. The third was to study control system of the hay stacker, with adopting a micro-controller, including host computer, sensor, keyboard and so on. The specific contents included:1. Design proposal of experimental desk of AS/RS and the hay stacker were proposed. The dimensions of goods shelf and goods frame were designed. The position of experimental desk was arranged and the models of hay stacker were built by Pro/E.2. The intensity, rigidity and structure stability of single Column stacker system were analyzed in force, which provided theory basis for design of stacker system.3. light-electricity sensors were used to measure displacement of the hay stacker. Work process and the way of recognizing the site of hay stacker were analyzed. The movement of the hay stacker was analyzed from theory and practice.4. AT89C55 WD was used to design the control system of the micro-controller, which includes expansions interface of 8155, periphery electric circuit, man-machine contact surface, anti- interference and so on.
