With the continuous expansion of modern storage, cargo access issues are much accounted of more and more enterprises. For many years, the tension of land use area and the rising price of land leads to logistics enterprises have to store the goods by reasonably exploiting and utilizing the space in the limited land. As a result, the automated storage and retrieval system is brought into the line of sight of logistics management, and is gradually favored by logistics industry with characteristics of taking up the space and access convenient and efficient. In the 21 st century, with the gradually improve of the production efficiency, more and more manufacturing enterprises begin to realize the importance of production data’s access efficiency. In the whole operation process, automated storage and retrieval system can automatically, efficiently, and accurately access goods according to the request, and greatly shorten the production cycle of the product, so as to improve the production efficiency of enterprise. The automated storage and retrieval system’s goods access operation mainly includes:placing the goods, storing the goods, taking out the goods, the management of the goods in the library, etc.The automated storage and retrieval system integrates mechanization and information and electronics, are the result of the development of the advanced science and technology. As the package of the goods most use box packing in today’s society, so this article mainly study the storage pattern of the three-dimensional storage of box packaging product. As the name implies, the storage warehouse of box packaging product mainly stores the goods which are packed in box type. Because box-type packaging not only has characteristics of regular shape, simple packaging, cheap, neatly placing and carrying out the identification easily on the label above the good, still can it have a very good protective effect. The equipment of the three-dimensional storage of box packaging product is mainly composed of automatic conveyor, palletizing robot, laneway stacker and three-dimensional shelf. Besides, the application of modern science and technology can improve the warehouse’s operation efficiency either, such as the application of electronic label will greatly improve the efficiency of the identification of goods and information extraction.This article respectively studies the warehousing system, the library system and the delivery system of the automated storage and retrieval system. The warehousing system means that the goods are placed in the three-dimensional shelf according to the relevant provision after the goods arrived in. The library system means that checking the goods on the shelves; the delivery system mainly means that the outbound goods are put out according to the outbound order details one by one. In this paper, we study the way of box-type packaging storage way mainly from the warehousing and delivery of goods. First, analyze automatic conveyor, palletizing robot and laneway stacker, and then to study the whole storage way. At the same time, in order to study the operation of the automated storage and retrieval system much better, this paper applied Flexsim to simulate it. Through the simulation, we can clearly get the factors affecting the operation of the warehouse, and then the system will be an efficient automated storage and retrieval system through optimizing.
