Ethernet Switch Poe Function

With more and more Ethernet switch is used for high-speed data transportation in the network, the power source for equipment in the Internet become a key problem and it is in the way of network application. Many manufactures used the signal line to supply the power for the equipments, but they came up with different solutions. The first power standard IEEE 802.3AF in 2003 resolve the compatibility problem of various equipments, it is also a new standard of which the cable transports the power and signals at the same time and we call it POE.At the base of the power standard IEEE 802.3AF,it's very important to design the commercial solutions, so we design this kind of solutions in the project, the traits include the followings: command line, MIB, group configuration, power management policy, High Access, Hot Insert and Pull-out for the card. All of this makes it possible for customer to customize diverse applications.Besides the traits, the achievement for the software development and design also included: putting forward the flexible Power Management Policy and it's optimization algorithm, supplying the convenient function of HA and Hot Insert and Push-out for equipments, coming up with the advantages and disadvantages of diverse software development model, analyzing the prospecting and future of POE on the base of POE applications.The following methods were utilized in the research: the paper followed the schedules of Software Development Model and presented the key and central design. The paper also analyzes the key module of POE system and implements the POE system.
