Plateau Airport Takeoff Performance

The takeoff process is a pivotal phase of the flight assignment and is also the phase of high frequency of flight accidents so the takeoff performance becomes one of the main contents in the study of the fight performance. Many areas of our country are of high proportion of plateau and high-frigid region and the plateau airports play an important role. The natural landform and climate on plateau areas are complex and changeful and the headroom condition is also very bad. The external factors such as rain, snow, heavy wind, high mountains and etc. bring forward badly harsh limitations for the airplane's flight performance. Thus it's quite important and necessary to analyze the airplane's takeoff performance according to the characteristics of plateau airports.In this paper, the quantity relationship is founded to analyze and study mainly how the performance parameters of airplane's takeoff change as the physical characteristics at plateau airports change. By the analysis of force and movement during the process of airplane's takeoff, the mathematical relationship is established and the particularity of the takeoff performance at plateau airports is discussed. Furthermore, to compute and simulate the takeoff performance of some airplanes based on Matlab; to compare the parameters of the takeoff performance on all-engine takeoff condition and rejected takeoff condition and to discuss and analyze the aerodrome altitude's influence on airplane's takeoff performance. Lastly based on some analysis about the airplane's takeoff performance on some familiar particular conditions at plateau airports, the methods and measures to improve the takeoff performances at plateau airports are put forward.The characteristics of the airplane takeoff at plateau airports are shown directly in the paper. The airplane takeoff performance at plateau airports can be understood and known relatively systematically and preliminarily with the paper. In a certain extent, this paper can be regard as the general basis or the theoretical reference used to enhance the safety of the airplane takeoff at plateau airports.
