The tactical qualities of torpedo depend on the torpedo propulsion system. When a propulsion system is selected, the qualities of the propulsion were mostly decided by the control system applied on it. Higher and higher qualities were required to adapt to the modern warfare. Modern torpedoes need to be faster, cruise father and submerge deeper. It is urgent to apply advanced control theory to the design of the control system.In this thesis, open-loop turbine engine is studied. The exact kinematic and dynamic formulas of open-loop turbine engine have been built. The stationary state and the transition process have been analyzed. The structural parameters perturbed state-space model has been built through the linearization of the kinematic and the dynamic formulas. And the state feedback controller was designed based on the LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) theory. The simulation result with the state feedback indicates that the controller can promote the performance of the whole system. In the speed- changing process of the same depth, the respond time was decreased. And there is hardly any error in the depth-changing process of the same speed.
