Traffic simulation technology is the integration of road , automobile, driver behavior, information technology, control technology, and other sophisticated technology .It have great significance for the evaluation of road linearity. The driver's sight distance is the importance factor of guaranteeing the traffic safety. The different kinds of roads line shape(including straight line ,horizontal curve, vertical curve) correspond to different sight distance. In addition, before and after the change of the road line shape, the sight distance of driving a vehicle also vary accordingly. This article has put forward a driving sight distance calculation model aiming at different road shape or changing of the path shape. Then has used visual basic language to build computation simulant model based on traffic simulation technology. The stimulant result indicated the impact of road shape to the driving sight distance. On the other side, this paper has fit the result of driving sight distance calculate model into curve graph using visual basic language. And then contrasted with the integration curve of sight distance, parking sight distance, curvature, gradient. After that, we have known how the horizontal and vertical curve road parameter influence the driving sight distance. By the way, analyzed the reason why driving sight distance shorter than the parking sight distance and design sight distance. Finally, the paper has compared a simulated scenes with real vehicles driving scenes to determine the conform extent of simulation results with the true visual situation. As a result, to validate the scientificalness and the practicality of the driver sight distance model.
