The project construction cost control passes through the entire engineering construction process. Once the project investing passes through the decision-making, the design is the key point which decides the project construction cost, and it affects how many the engineering project investment will be directly. By using some example like the actual project which meets in the work in this article, the author discusses the problem together which how the different processing plan influence the project construction cost in structural design.1,In the first chapter it introduces the relationship between construction structural design and the project construction cost, decisiveness, and the importance which the structural design means to the project construction cost height. It summarizes that how to reduce the project construction cost from several aspects like value engineering obtaining, optimizing design, the government establishing perfect mechanism.2,In the second chapter it analysises the most important earthquake resistance design in the structural design. Optimizing the earthquake resistance design under the condition of assigning earthquake intensity, taking the present earthquake resistance standard as the criterion, taking the most superior construction cost as the goal, it carries on the example analysis in which obtains the optimization structural design, reduces the earthquake resistance rank. It has certain effect on reducing the project construction cost.3,In the Third chapter, through computing and comparing the concrete structure cost with the brick the construction cost, we can better master the economical performance index of reinforced concrete housing and the brick mix the housing, made the analysis to the construction cost influence factor and gave some advices about designing and investment.4,In the Fourth chapter, facing the phenomenon enlarges day by day in view of the current steel bar amount used in the engineering project, and the rising steel products price, it summarizes that controling the amount of engineering steel bar used in project is the most important link which must be considered in the structural design. In the article it makes the economic analysis in using the different intensity rank steel bar the concrete component to, proposed uses the high tensile reinforcing steel reasonably, and the appropriate component section size is reduces the project construction cost the advantageous way.5,In the last chapter, it makes the summary that it proposes the argument and the development direction on the base of the data obtains which according to each chapter. Summaries paper thought: Must explore diligently unceasingly, studies the more reasonable structural design plan, in satisfying the construction function, under the structure security premise, reduces the project construction cost.
