| Kijo Rokkaku, Japanese architect, his design concepts and works were the mainly research objects of this paper. Kijo Rokkaku born in the 1940s was a unique architects of that period, his works across the philosophy, culture, arts and other fields, during the spread of modernism in the 1960s, he sought a unique path of his own.Kijo Rokkaku paid attention to the nature. In recent years, he began the design philosophy from abstract concepts into the ecology and the natural expression to the mutual coordination. During this period, many of his works are conveyed with the natural integration of this concept, he considered environment and natural harmony, as well as the construction itself is not an independent presence in the environment, and is always coordinated with the environment, complementely. Kijo Rokkaku paid attention to the humanities, for the space, he focused on the study of the five senses: seeing, hearing, touch, taste, sniff, paid attention to a person's feelings and experiences. He always tried to design and construction of all participants in the exchange. Kijo Rokkaku paid attention to the culture, because of his rebellious attitude to life and negative thinking. He went to study oriental culture from China and the Taoist thought and the wheels to absorb nutrients. This understanding will continue to integrate into their own work. Many of his early works were based on the ideas from the Orient, Fengshui, based on the creation of Buddhist philosophy. In the space of practices, Kijo Rokkaku has adopted a modern aesthetic, and cultural expression. The image of the prototype of his interest, such as: earth, water, fire, wind, spatial into the building thinking, when people passed through his building they would obtains the film footage of flashbacks. In creative ways, Kijo Rokkaku initiated and united other artists with the artistic spirit to create together.This paper analyzes architectural works of sorting out and ideological perspectives, architecture and nature, architecture and five senses, architecture and place, architecture and tectonic, architecture and metaphor, architecture and art in six areas, including the construction his creative interpretation, and then to work as an example, which contains an analysis of the design method. Kijo Rokkaku's design concepts and works of contemporary architecture provides a useful expression of the Enlightenment, it is also hoped that in design method it will provide a certain reference on learning architectural design and practice. |
