In recent years with further development in western of China, the region economy becomes gradually active, which requires improving transport capacity of the current railways quickly. In Guizhou, a mountainous province, many railways, such as XiangQian railway (Hunan to Guizhou), QianGui railway (Guzhou to Guangxi), DianQian railway (Yunnan to Guizhou),ChuanQian railway (Sichuan to Guizhou) and so on ,are built in early times. Hence, subjected to history, geology condition and the restriction of technical condition at that time, all these existing equipments of railways and the condition of railways cannot meet the needs of the heavy-carried and high-speed trains. As one of the main contents in Railway Roadbed Major Repair Design, the disease repairing work of roadbeds should be completed in a large range in Guizhou province every year. In this process , referring to all kinds of numerous and complicated data such as input, output and middle outcome, the drawing workload is very huge , and engineering amount stating and calculating is numerous, so completely manual working is inefficient and low successful. However, adopting CAD(Computer Aided Design) can make use of computer's many merits such as quick speed, precise and high successful, thus it can evidently develop the design's quality, efficiency and automation level. This thesis has system and deeply done research on realization theory and method of the Railway Roadbed Major Repair CAD System, and achieved some productions. In the end, this thesis has plied the productions to the realization of the software system. The main research contents and achievements are summarized as follows:1.In this process of the system's design and realization, fully applying the OOM(Object Oriented Method)to the method of the system's analysis and design, the system has carefully designed the roadbed in cross sections of railways and built the whole frame of the system based on demands analysis and function definition of the system.2. In managing the System's data, using all engineering data in management system of modern database, the system has carried through the all engineering data of Railway Roadbed Disease Repair Design to sort them scientifically following the request of the System. Then closely surround three lays of the UI(User Interface)Lay,standard Database Call Lay and bottom Database Lay, the system has realized efficiently the management of the system data through rationally organizing the UI of data input and output, managing the system data in forms of Access Database and adopting flexible and highly efficient ADO(ActiveX Data Object) technology to manipulate database. In the base above all, the System pre-remains data interface of other forms.3. The system has adopted ARX (AutoCAD Runtime extension) technology to secondary development to the CAD and has realized to draw cross sections and profiles of Railway Roadbed Disease Repair Design. It deeply researches ARX technology and puts researching on structure and operation technique of the CAD Database.4. Basely following the principles of man-machine separation and man-machine alternation, the system has realized all kinds of interface forms such as MDI(Multiply Document Interface),Dialog Box and Control,Menu and Toolbar and Bitmap, thus this system has offered convenience to the data taking and reality of the system's functions.5. In the end, the system has taken an engineering example to approve stability,veracity and high efficiency, in the same time it has approved validity of the theories, methods and technologies above all.
