Study On The Cold Patch Asphalt Pavement Material And Repair Technology

Through the study on more than ten kinds of cold patch asphalt materials inhome and abroad. we found that they have large defects in different degree in thedomestic market sale of cold patch asphalt pavement materials，such as high and lowtemperature, water stability, mechanical properties, cohesion and workability， butonly as a temporary disease treatment measures. The foreign cold patch materialshave relatively better performance, but the price is a multiple of the domestic coldpatch asphalt material，so it is difficult to be accepted by many conservation units,which has been affected the asphalt pavement winter norms conservation, andseverely affected the level of service and performance in the highways.The project base on the investigation the North-South highway and small repairon the basis of conservation status in Henan Province, according to the naturalgeographical environment and climatic environment characteristics in Henan, selectseveral kinds of typical pavement cold patch materials both at home and abroad,through the initial Marshall stability, forming stability, freeze-thaw splitting test,residual stability and adhesion property, construction workability and cohesion ofindoor test, study the road pavement cold material performance in system, andanalyze its formation mechanism and influencing factors.Through contrasting and testing dilution bitumen, asphalt and grading,developed a new, durable, suitable for Henan high-grade asphalt concrete pavementpit slot repair of cold patch asphalt pavement material (referred NH cold patch asphaltpavement material).Putting forward the NH key indicator evaluation system of coldpatch asphalt pavement materials, Putting forward the three NH cold patch asphaltpavement material’s preparation method and application scope, analysis the cost ofthem. The results showed that production of one ton of normal temperature type coldpatch asphalt pavement material, NH cold patch asphalt pavement material is muchcheaper than the similar domestic products more than20%; Produce one ton of lowtemperature cold patch asphalt pavement material, NH cold patch asphalt pavement material is about10%cheaper than the similar domestic products; Produce one ton oflow temperature cold patch asphalt pavement material, NH cold patch asphaltpavement material is much cheaper than the similar foreign products more than200%.
