According to the factual use in project of the SCADA system for Ji-Zi natural gas pipeline, the paper introduces some ways about researches and developments in control function of configuration software. At first, it gives an analysis and summary about the SCADA system's development background, functional traits, designing thoughts, system structure and development direction. Then it discusses the station control system in the SCADA system for Ji-Zi natural gas pipeline and introduces designing. The RTU is the bottom control station in the station control system, which implements data acquisition process controlling. Citect configuration software component operating station in the station control system, which implement data displaying, human-machine interface operating, supervising of whole craftwork and control system and report forms printing. The connection and the communication between the Citect and input-output devices have been elaborated; I/O device driver programs were developed. The schematic configuration and implementation of the redundancy technology has been elaborated. The paper emphatically and deeply studied how to design and realize the functions sub-modules of the configurationally monitoring, the sub-modules include safety management sub-module, process flow sub-module, flow measurement sub-module, alarm sub-module, cure sub-module, parameter setting sub-module, report sub-module. The configurationally monitoring module possesses perfect functions of dynamically monitoring the production process of operating area, dynamically displaying parameter records of flow, pressure as well as temperature, inquiring and analyzing parameter records, drawing tendency charts, data alarming, automatic generating and printing all kinds of report forms and safely managing system.Finally, a mathematical model based on physics concept strategies is established between gas transmission pipelines, and analyzed the coupling characteristics between gas transmission pipelines. Then the PID diagonal matrix decoupling control algorithm was adopted in the system based on the system's transfer function matrix. The algorithm solved the problem of coupling characteristics between gas transmission pipelines, and then realized the algorithm in the Citect configuration software. The algorithm is proved to be useful and dependable in actual system. After it is put into use, it runs stably and reliably, saves large labor and improves the speed of scheduling.
