Research And Design Of Communication Software In SCADA

Since fast development of computer application technology, SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)is used widely in industry filed, especially in electric power system in which SCADA is developing speedily.Communication software is a pivotal part of SCADA, which takes on the works of uploading the data of field device in substation and sending down the command from master station.This dissertation studies the realization of communication in SCADA, and actualizes configuration of communication COM and unit. First the demands of communication in SCADA in the modern world are summarized, and development of electric power communication stipulations are presented. The SCADA the researching communication software in is introduced, such as the functions, the environment of software and hardware, the modes of net framework, and the frame of software. Having researched on some popular communication Stipulations, such as IEC-60870-5, DNP3.0 and IEC61850, this paper chooses IEC60870-5-103 as standard for the informative interface of protection equipment, and IEC60870-5-101 as the telecontrol communication standard, for its supporting of RS422/485 and easy upgrading to IEC60870-5-104. The communication programming is presented, which includes the method of using API function to achieve the COM communication programming, design of telecontrol communication module baseded on IEC60870-5-101, and communication module within substation baseded on IEC60870-5-103. The preliminary realization of configuration software in communication subsystem is presented.The work in this dissertation has achieved the above functions: remote telecontrol, such as switching in/out; analysis and record of SOE which includes the time of sending and receiving data, and failing data frames; field data acquisition; supporting setup of the parameters of COM and unit on man-machine interface, such as analog variables, digital variables, total energy variables, and telecontrol operations.
