Nowadays, the supervision and management of electric-power systems is a really complicated systematic work. Meantime, it is a typical example of non-structure problem. With the development of power industry and the improvement of power management, the traditional electric-power management information system(MIS) has been no longer efficient for customers. More and more people are using decision support system(DSS) to solve problems of power management.In this thesis, we analyze the current status of electric-power management systems and DSS. In order to solve the insufficiency of intercommunication in traditional methods, we design this visible DSS running in PDA electric-power field chekout area. The establishing steps are listed below: Firstly, build a data warehouse of electric information; Secondly, do various complex analysis of electric data, such as the charge forcasting, by making use of on-line analytical processing(OLAP) and data mining; finally, give suggestions of improving power quality to decision makers and field users.The thesis describes requirements analysis of the entire system, function designing and module developing thoroughly. The performance of our system is tested and evaluated, and the results indicate that our system runs very well. At the same time, the performance is satisfactory, every requirement of the system is realized. In sum, our DSS is a outstanding system which has a fairly wide application foreground.
