As our country's economy develops fast, the number of travelers has becoming increasingly large. At the same time, the accommodation and service of tour have been quite improved. In addition, the hotel styles are more and various, from resort hotel with exoticism and multifunctional city hotel to hotel with low priceIn the earlier days of reforming and opening-up, our design level is extraordinarily low, which causing native hotel owners and designers can only imitate Euramerican style to create Barroque and French-classical etc, and European style turned to the standard and fashion of many luxurious hotels. However, this kind of style just showed our blindness and diffidence during the earlier period of hotel design. Thanks to our gradual opening-up and awakening of peoples' consciousness, this dated designing measure could not been adapt to the society's demand, that is replaced by the interior design of strong Chinese culture in the times of century-alternation.This article emphasized on how to carry on Chinese culture in hotel design. After study the characteristic of hotel design and analyze its basic viewpoint, then he bring forward the following thoughts:First, Human's demand is the precondition of interior design. Secondly, environment is the necessary factor of interior design. Thirdly, combination of science and art are the base of interior design. Last, Culture is the soul of interior design.Whereupon, we get the conclusion that human, architecture, environment and culture are important factors of design. Then he pays more attention to regionality, interposition of art and understanding of context etc. Subsequently, he takes three cases for example, which are typical rooms of Sanya Hilton Resort, overall architecture layout of Bali Hilton international hotel and Japanese architect's《The Bamboo Wall》in Great Wall commune. Then, the specialties of traditional architectural decorating and traditional architecture's origin, specialty, content, representing measure are taken into deep analysis.When having more knowledge of traditional architectural art, he analyze the combination of art and reality in addition to the reason and result of art's change in different environments, upon base of which he conclude that modern and traditional culture is the instruction.
