This paper describes an initiator with the property, its which can meet the standard of USCAR.Based on the full study and analysis for the standard of the initiator of USCAR and through the theoretical analysis and the test for the bridge wire of the initiator, one new type ignition composition, the seal by sintered glass, laser weld and the design for anti-static electricity have been adopted, so that the initiator with the properties which can meet the standard of USCAR has been designed. The result shows that the initiator is with the safety current of more than 400mA (10s), and the igniting current of less than 400mA (2ms), besides that the initiator is good in anti-static electricity and fine in the seal.
