Nanjing Metro' line 1 came into use in 2005 and its total operation time is no more than two years. The equipments' maintenance is lack of scientific maintenance theory, without focusing on technological guide and maintenance cost. Under this situation, new maintenance theories and methods are eagerly needed to solve the current problems with which Nanjing metro is confronted. As a mature theory and with many successful application experiences, RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) is quite appropriate for Nanjing Metro.Based on the "Three years, Four stages" strategical plan for Nanjing Metro's RCM application and standard RCM analysis steps, this paper makes intensive researches in FMECA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), maintenance strategy decision, preventive maintenance cycle and evaluation of maintenance effect. And at the end of this paper, the author completes the design for equipments'failure management system.This dissertation pays more attention on practical promotion and gains some breakthroughs and creations in FMECA; In maintenance strategy decision part ,this paper adopts logic decision method and gray theory to get the final result together; Monte Carlo is applied in preventive maintenance cycle decision so as to avoid complex mathematic calculation and to incerase working efficiency; With the guide of PDCA, this paper employs Extension Superiority evaluation Method to examine the effect of adjusted maintenance strategy; Equipments' failure management system is completed by VB and Access.The achievement of this paper helps to support the further investigation of reliability centered maintenance for Nanjing Metro as well as other urban rail traffic related enterprises.
