Transport companies generally have hundreds of vehicles; need to take various measures to ensure the normal operation of these vehicles. Among them, the maintenance of these measures is a major component. In addition, to ensure the economic use of vehicles and effectiveness, ensure quality and efficient maintenance work, maintenance of quality of evaluation is a very practical significance.Vehicle maintenance quality (or effect) is achieved through the maintenance and repair to the extent required to meet the vehicles. Maintenance quality evaluation on the one hand to objectively measure the completion of maintenance tasks, on the other hand can improve the service quality to provide a reasonable basis, and constantly promote the maintenance of quality. Therefore, the maintenance of quality assessment is to improve the effectiveness of the methods of vehicle maintenance. This paper used change point analysis and the reliability-based of vehicle to evaluate the effect of type-II and type-III preventive maintenance (PM). Among them, the change point analysis about the failure of vehicle maintenance is to change the incidence of the size effect as the basis for evaluation of vehicle maintenance; The method is based on vehicle reliability is to identify the vehicle's reliability and the relationship between the number of minor repairs, to establish reliable model, and then run under the maintenance of the vehicle about the change to evaluate the reliability and maintenance effectiveness. Then these two methods were applied to a bus company in the part of the vehicle fleet, and evaluate the effect of fleet maintenance.
