| ADN is one of the candidate excellent oxiders being used in the next generation low signature propellants due to its many nice properties of high energy,non-halogen,good chemical stability and so on.However,ADN is difficult to be applied in the solid propellants because of its readily moisture absorption of ADN. It will be significant to reduce moisture absorption via modification of the surface of ADN powders. In this paper, ADN powers modified with several materials means of coating in liquid-phase and gas phase, respectively. The experimental results the stearic acid could be used in the moisture proof of ADN powders ,especially at the high room temperature,if the method of coating in liquid-phase was used.At the same time, the anti-agglomeration method of modifying the surface of ultrafine AP powders using the barriers were proposed according to the mechanism of agglomeration resulted from the salt bridges formed between the UFAP particles. The experimental results show that the barrier grains, including the dual-component modifiers and the dispersing carriers, could be used in the anti-agglomeration of UFAP powders when the barrier grains and AP were simultaneously jet milled. The modified UFAP could be stronged with with anti-agglomeration for tow months at room temperature and under the powders sealing conditions. When the modified UFAP were used in the solid propellant, the mechanical property and combustion property were obviously improved, while the other physical and chemical properties were hardly affected. This dry modification of UFAP should be readily applied into the industrial production because it was simply aperated and the good result could be obtained. |
