The military vehicles information reform has been an important development trend. Nowadays, the interfaces of the vehicle-borne weapon system are diverse, which results in difficulties in communication among the devices and leads to a low information-sharing level. This has limited the improvement of the performance of military vehicles. In response to this situation, combined with the related technologies, this thesis designs the network system of vehicle communication controller. ARM Micro-Controller LPC2378 is used as the core chip with the expansion of several interfaces, such as RS-232 interface, RS-485 interface, Modem interface, USB interface and CAN interface, as well as double Ethernet interface. The hardware TCP/IP protocol stack chip W3150A+ is also employed. Moreover this thesis designs the interface drivers and implements the network protocol. Based on these, the transparent data conversion is completed among the function interfaces. Additionally, in order to improve the reliability of Local Area Network, the thesis proposes a new architecture named Loop Ethernet with centerless node, which backups a redundant network gateway. To construct the local area ring network among several vehicle communication controllers, the system could achieve data communication among vehicle-borne weapon equipments that holding different interfaces in the network, and improve the level of data sharing. The experimental results show that the system runs well, realize functions correctly, and achieve the desired results. This thesis provides a feasible method for the data communication among vehicle-bome weapon equipments with different interfaces. It has some practical significance in improving the level of digitization and information of military vehicles.
