It has importance and active meaning to study of the seismic resistant performance of steel-concrete composite frame structure and to completely grasp its dynamic characteristic that can help us to set up applied basis of steel-concrete composite frame structure in the seismic region and establish relevant criterions and rules for seismic resistant designs of composite frame structure. Calculation of response spectrum by single freedom system can't consider the sensivity of the different type of structure to earthquake, it hasn't subject to earthquake response spectrum of different types of structures about the seismic resistant performance of steel-composite beams in the current research in China and overseas. ABAQUS FEA program was applied to study the dynamic characteristics of steel-concrete composite frame structure and earthquake elastic, elastic-plastic response spectrum. main research work are as follows:1) The elastic and elastic-plastic time history analysis of many frame structures, which are made of steel structure, reinforced concrete structure and steel-concrete composite structure. Getting corresponding absolutely acceleration-time curve, the relative displacement-time curve and the relative velocity-time curve. Drawwing out the elastic and elastic-plastic response spectrum of steel frame structure, reinforced concrete frame structure and steel-concrete composite frame structure, according to maximum value of curve. They are the absolutely acceleration-time response spectrum, the relative displacement-time response spectrum and the relative velocity-time response spectrum.2)Compares and analyses the response spectrum of steel frame structure, reinforced concrete frame structure and steel-concrete composite frame structure. The computation formulas of the elastic and elastic-plastic response spectra of three frame structure are proposed respectively, then it is normalized.3)The 3D elastic-plastic time history reaction of frame structure, which is made of concrete-filled steel square tubular column and Web Width of Steel Beam. The time of yield and gradation of structure is carried out, the transform concentrated part in response to the stress and the plastic is found out, the yield of mechanism, weak link and possible breakage type of structure is ascertained according to calculation result. Compares and analyses this results with reinforced concrete frame structure.4)Response spectrum analysis of steel-concrete composite frame structure are proposed using the elastic and elastic-plastic response spectrum of composite frame that is fitting by this paper, Comparing this results with time history analysis method confirm its correctness.
