Automobile suspension system is the connecting part between automobile frame and wheel, various force which acted on wheel (including supporting force, driving force, braking force, lateral force, etc. ) be transferred to frame by automobile suspension system, frame gravity be transferred to ground for supporting and driving frame. Automobile suspension not only transferred force, but also alleviated frame vibration and shock which was arosed by road roughness. Suspension system is the most important part of automobile, has great influence on comfort and safety of automobile when it is travelling. In the paper, kinematic and dynamic simulation analysis for two kind of suspension system had been made by using ADAMS software and multibody theory.ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems, the mechanical system dynamics analysis software package) is the most widely used mechanical system dynamics analysis software all over the world. Based on the virtual prototype technology, the suspension can be considered a multi-body system which has link and relative movement each other. Using ADAMS/view, the multibody model of front suspension had been made about McPherson Suspension made by Santana coporation and double wishbone suspension made by ZhengZhouby automobile coporation which using Japanese technology, had made analysis of suspension parameter when wheel is bouncing and steering. An effective and efficient method was supplied for suspension design.The paper made simply introduce about system components and design requirement of automobile suspension. Summarized the multi-body dynamics theory, introduced the basic theory of static, kinematics and dynamics analysis using ADAMS software. The automobile suspension model had been built by using ADAMS/view, analyzed the relationship between suspension and steering stability, made kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis of suspension model. Had got the curve of wheel location parameter including camber angle, toe-in angle, caster angle, kingpin Inclination angle and brake nod, speedup rise when wheel has a bounce, had got the curve of suspension stiffness, lateral stiffness, lateral center height, ect. Had gived an initial assessmen of suspension.
