Vehicle Logistics Model Based On Third-party Applied Research, Changfeng

In recent years, Chinese automobile output and consumption are increasing dramatically and corresponding automobile logistics has become more and more important in our economic growth. As a result of severe competition between manufacturers, logistics is considered the best approach to develop automobile industry potential and to increase enterprise competitive power. It has been proved that logistics outsourcing develops rapidly to a new enterprise strategy of automobile manufacturers due to the advantages of reducing operation costs, strengthening the core competitence, accelerating organization restructuring, and improving the flexibility of enterprises. From the perspective of development trend, domestic and foreign, the Third-Party Logistics (TPL) is sure to take a leading position in the near future. Thus, this paper focuses on outbound logistic of automobile, and constructs a logistics model based on TPL.The paper first gives a comprehensive review of the theories about supply chain, logistics outsourcing and automobile logistics. Then, a thorough analysis of Chinese automobile logistics is presented, and there are a lot of problems in Chinese automobile logistics, especially in the outbound logistics. To overcome such shortcomings, the paper lays foundations on TPL operation theories and advanced automobile outbound logistics operation patterns borrowed from successful enterprises abroad. A new Automobile Outbound Logistics Operation Model based on TPL has been proposed in theory to guide automobile industry practice. The main efforts and conclusions of the thesis are explained in detailed as follows. Firstly, designing the Automobile Outbound Logistics Operation Patterns based on TPL from a system perspective, and analyzing the characteristics of it; Secondly, on this basis, TPL-based logistics operation process is established, including the shipment of vehicles, transport management and inventory management processes; Thirdly,building the operation of the vehicle logistics information sharing and coordination mechanism based on TPL, According to the characteristics of the Automobile Outbound Logistics Operation System,and settling the key issues of the logistics operation. Finally, an empirical study in CHANG FENG AUTO company is carried out to testify feasibility of the model proposed in this paper with a focus on Logistics Operations of Finished Automobiles.
