Research And Development Of Capp System For Large-sized Marine Propeller Manufacturing

The process planning is an important link of the large-sized marine propeller manufacture system,which has the important influence to the product quality and the production cost.The production technological document and the correlation data not only is the basis of producing the processing,but also is the production management and the operating control system foundation information origin.The process planning is difficult for the form of marine propeller is complex.The research and development of Computer Aided Process Planning(CAPP) for marine propeller has a great meaning.The paper includes three main components.Firstly,the paper analyzes national screw propeller manufacturing's status and some theories related to marine propeller process planning.Secondly,the paper studies a computer calculation method for marine propeller process planning.Finally,the paper proposed the overall plan of the screw propeller CAPP system,which include process planning report form module, examine data calculation module,communication module,etc.The paper discusses the algorithm of these modules.In this paper,the CAPP system is developed by using the VB 6.0,which applies knowledge related to screw propeller manufacturing to the analysis of the process feature and the calculation of the main process parameter,then,aided detailed process planning.The marine propeller CAPP system can generates process data with good accuracy.It also reduces repeating work of design staffs,shortens the producing periods of products,and improves economic benefit of enterprises.
