Research On The Key Technologies Of Customizability In CAPP System

In addition to the traditional manufacturing industry, a variety of industries areemerging after another in recent years. Each industry varies greatly, and even in the sameindustry between various enterprises, the process data differentiation increases, whichleads to enhancement of process data’s individuality. With the advances of manufacturingapproaches, the process data will continue to expand and change at different stages of thesame industry. All of these have poised a higher demand for customizability of CAPP(Computer Aided Process Planning) system. This paper did a research on the keytechnologies of customizability in CAPP system, aiming to improve the system’s flexiblecustomizability; and to meet the needs of enterprises while saving the time and cost ofsoftware development.Focus is given to the customizability expression of process data, which is the core ofCAPP system. The principle of process data expression is analyzed firstly. Then the authorstudys process data’s customizability from the three aspects: process data’ hierarchy,content and relations. On the basis of the above research, the customizing process inenterprises and maintenance of process data when it changes are discussed.Based on the customizable process data expression model, this paper studies the inputand output’s customizability of process data from the three aspects: process data’ hierarchy,content and relations; and discusses the customizing process of the input and output ofprocess data in enterprises.On the foundation of theoretically research, this paper studies the key technologies ofcustomizability in CAPP system. It designs the architecture of the CAPP system based oncustomizable process data model, and discusses in detail the system’s functional modulesand customization process. At last the instance of the system is given.
