With the rapid growth in container port throughput and the development of large-scale container ships, container vessels need more and more operating time. How to achieve a reasonable quay crane loading and unloading sequence and container trucks’path has been a theoretical and practical hot issue. However, the operation model based on dual-cycling can better realize quay crane and container truck full loading, and better improve the operation rate in container enterprises, enhance the competition between container terminals than traditional operation model. Typically, the most direct factors affects dual-cycling operation is quay crane operation sequence and container truck path. Therefore, this article will optimize quay crane sequence and container trucks’path.Firstly, in the quay crane sequence optimization, traditional research usually abstracted quay crane scheduling problem into jobs on two machines scheduling problem and solve it with Johnson rule, while the paper constructs the mathematic model based the smallest gaps and shortest processing time. We find that the mathematical model can obtain better result than Johnson when the number of jobs is more than10.Secondly, in the container truck path, through the analysis on the single loading and unloading model and operation side find that the empty rate is about50%. Quay cranes can realize full loading under the dual-cycling model. For the problem, this paper established a mathematic model whose target is minimum time. Finally, through the design of improved genetic algorithm for solving methods in Matlab programming language environment, get23best trucks’routes completing loading and unloading tasks under the quay-crane and container truck joint scheduling.
