This thesis analyzes the structure and dynamics of a linkless feed system's guideline which offers continuous ammunition feeding for a new exterior power auto-cannon according to the request of a national research project.The linkless feed system's guideline is actually a high-speed transmission device, which transmits the ammunition from the exit of container to the entrance of auto-cannon to make sure the auto-cannon work incessantly and effectively. With continuous firing rate improvement of the artillery auto-cannon, the capacity of the transmission device for feed system also needs to be increased, for the structure and form of the transmission device determines, to a great extent, complexity, reliability and firing rate of the whole auto-cannon. So the design of the guideline which I need to focus on is one of the most important and difficult part in feed system design.With the consideration of the project needs, this work focuses on the following aspects:1) A general scheme of ammunition feeding system which includes the selection of feeding principle, the introduction of the route of the artillery shell and the determination of solution has been provided;2) Design of the transmission device structure in which geometrical design of the device is accomplished and a 3D model of the guideline is built up by SolidWorks. Some critical component of the feeding system is imported to ABAQUS to enjoy a FEA Analysis for their structural strength;3) A computer program for dynamic simulation is written on the foundation of the mathematical model and result of the dynamic simulation analysis has been analyzed at last.The results indicate that the scheme is feasible in theory and it also can provide references to further study on the ammunition feed system's guideline.
