| With the promotion of developing housing market, the large dimensions and speed of housing construction in our country is never seen recently years. But nowadays, most of new communities are still restricted by 'Functionism', being the autarkic mode. The dimension of the close community becomes larger and larger, even achieve the size of a town or a city. Not only been hard managed, but have been lack of energy, value lose, traffic block and safe problems. The problems of road system in close communities are even worse.On the basis of study in the traffic mode of settlements at home and abroad this paper has summarized the different points and adaptive area between separate road and mixed road by analyzing a mass of examples and it propose the block-style structure of settlements which is more suitable for urban development and for promoting exchanges of people living in the settlements and also it demonstrates the concept of block-type traffic mode and elaborates how to carry it out. It also uses many examples to explain it and then expatiates how to design the block roads which could promote human contacts.In short, it is a good way to relieve the human cold and to solve the contradictions between people and cars in the closed settlements that is to construct a block-type traffic patterns from the perspective of promoting exchanges of inhabitant. |
