Research On The Transportation Demand Forecast Of The City-out Roads In Wuhan

City-out Roads act as an important channel connecting material system with outer regions, which sustain the political, economic and cultural role of metropolis. Therefore, City-out roads possess the dual functions of urban roads and road transport in urban, it must meet the needs of urban development outbound traffic to ensure the links between the city and its environs, and play a coordinating role between urban roads and highways. With the development of urban economic and the rapid regional integration, volume of urban road transport grows at a very fast speed correspondly meanwhile, the highways and urban roads linking the entrance road traffic are also facing unprecedented pressure.By studying the traffic characteristic of city-out roads as well as analyzing and forecasting the transportation demand, this article comes out with a method of planning and building the City-out Roads in Wuhan. The article lanches the elaboration from two parts:In the first part of this article, it analyzes the traffic characteristic. Firstly, the article discusses relevant theory of City-out Roads; secondly, combining reality of Wuhan, it analyzes current situation and its developing trend; At last, it comes to the conclusion of the characteristics Wuhan's City-out roads. This part mainly uses the methods of data-analysis and quality analysis.The second part put an emphasis on analyzing and forecasting the transportation demand of Wuhan's City-out Roads, with an application of the Traffic Demand Forecast Theory-Four-Stage Method. At first, it analyzes and forecasts the indexes of national economy; and than, according to the step of Four-Stage Method, the article analyzes and forecasts the demand of City-out Roads. Finally, it gives some improvement suggestions for Wuhan's City-out Roads. This part mainly uses the methods of quantitative calculation and quality analysis, the quantitative calculation being the primary while quality analysis being auxiliary.In a word, this article discussed the traffic characteristic and elaborated the theory of traffic demand forecast systematically and did some analysis on the specific situation in Wuhan. So it has some practical significance.
