This dissertation is on the study of the dynamic characteristic of the gear coupled rotor-bearing system. The whole work consists of four parts. In the first part,the development process of the rotor dynamics is reviewed. The significance of the research and the main work of the paper are introduced.The second part is establishment of the motional equations of the gear coupled rotor-bearing system,For different coupled models,this section describes the specific process in establishing the motional equations of the gear coupled rotor-bearing system.The third part is analysis of the variety of the system parameters on the system critical speed and the imbalance response of the gear coupled rotor-bearing system.The system parameters match such as gear mass ,moment inertia of the gear and shaft stiffness on the system vibration characteristic are researched particularly. It is also found that the amplitude of imbalance response of the gear coupled rotor system greatly depends on the parameters match of the system,when the parameters are chosen suitably,coupling will restrain the imbalance response of the system,otherwise,it will aggravate the imbalance response of the system.In the last part,the vibration characteristic of the DH-type compressor rotor system is analyzed. It is found that control the vibration of the high-speed shaft is the key to reduce the vibration of the whole system. It is found that when the parameters of the high-speed shaft are matched suitablely,the dynamic charateristic of the whole rotor system will be improved greatly.
