An electron gun is made up of ignition control unit and launcher. The ignition control unit can send ignition pulse orderly to light igniter and ignite powder of launcher. The launcher has five projectiles arranged in series. Each projectile can locate and seal accurately. This paper mainly focuses on the theoretical study and experiment of such electron guns. Detailed work is as follows:An experimental device is designed after the research of the division of functional modules and key technologies of the electron gun. Three-dimensional modeling of parts of the experimental device is made by use of Solidworks. The design of circuit is made by ProtelDXP.Classical Interior ballistics model is set up according to the actual structure inside the electron gun:single-charge Interior ballistics mathematical model, mixed-charge Interior ballistics mathematical model. MATLAB is used to develop the program for the models to analyze different parameters'effect on the Interior ballistics performance of 9mm-caliber handgun by changing the amount of powder, the quality of projectile, the power of powder, the pressure of start-up, the cubage of powder chamber.The rationality of electron gun scheme, reliability of ignition, seal inside and outside projectile, correctness of Interior ballistics model, and so on are verified by testing on experimental device. And the approach of the solution of key technologies is basically correct by a large number of experimental phenomena and data.
