FLUENT is a CFD software launched by FLUENT corporation in USA, and presently it is one of the most comprehensive and suitable CFD softwares which are widely used in the domestic market. The acquisition of the aerodynamic effect parameter of guided projectile is the precondition for guided projectile research. Compared with the tunnel-winding and empirical equation method, using FLUENT package has its specific advantage on acquisition of the aerodynamic effect parameter of guided projectile.This work is one branch of the project named "study on the design of guidance law based on numerical optimization with multi-constraint", which is supported by national science foundation of china. And helps to solve problems on acquisition of the aerodynamic effect parameter.This paper firstly built a cone cylinder model, and divided the model on their structured and unstructured mesh, and then analyzed by comparison of number of nodes in the same two grid cases, the quality, quantity, and computing time. The calculation partition regions including 1,4,8, and 16 of the cone cylinder model have been computed paralleling (1 partition for the serial computation), and the partition number and the corresponding computing time also have been compared.Guided projectile has a very complicated conformation, the head is a combination of a sphere and a cone cylinder, and a chamfer attached to the rudder and the tail to reduce the resistance, the structure of the flow field contained by the guided artillery shells is a very complex mesh to be divided. Therefore, the computational region is divided into the sphere, cylinder, rings, drums and other simple specification of the region, followed by a structured mesh. And the guided projectile with FLUENT software aerodynamic model parameters were calculated. Finally, the use of FLUENT software guided projectile aerodynamic parameters of the calculation results were post-processing, draw the different mach number around the projectile velocity, pressure, velocity vector distribution, the drag coefficient, lift coefficient, pitching moment coefficients with angle of attack and mach number curve.Through this study, we have mastered a technological package of the application of FLUENT software package on the calculation of the aerodynamic effect parameter of guided projectile.
