| In the process of modern car styling,the body design is a key factor."Eleventh Five-Year Plan"of China's automobile industry clearly made a plan to improve the ability of research and technological innovation, and develop own brands.The shape of car body is formed by complex free surface. How to change the sketches into high-quality digital models is very difficult in the conceptual design phase. It is the key technology to accelerate car development of the localization and innovation of product.With the development of society,people have become increasingly demand in the shape of car body. Smoothing is an important criterion when they evaluate the surfaces. Determine surfaces are smooth or not,we need scientific methods. So research smoothing problem from the perspective of mathematics and physics,and determine the smoothing criterion,change the smoothing into a mathematical problem. It is of great significance. Currently the smoothing of curves and surfaces has become an important method of technology in car body modeling.Firstly this paper describes the theory of surface and curve that expound the body modeling,and analyzes mainstream modeling software. Secondly paper summarizes the basic principles of smoothing by own experience,domestic and foreign literature,excluding general requirements as building class A. In the meanwhile smoothing method is researched by the perspective of mathematics and physics. Current methods of evaluation are summarized in order to analyze and modify the model. After that we change the two-dimensional sketch into three-dimensional digital modeling successfully based software of CATIA. As the smoothing of surface is a very complex and tedious work,finally the paper also summarizes the smoothing method in the work of modeling. Through the application of this method,designers can construct the model easily, which meet the requirements of smoothness. Meanwhile we hope to provide a useful idea for the development of car body.Through the application of these studies, designers of the car body can easily construct a smooth model which meets the requirements, and lays a solid foundation for innovative design. |
