With the development of the ecomonic and the processing of the Western Development,many highways are being build. In the GUIZHOU area according to the special kinds of the rocks and the seriously washing effect,there are huge amount of mountions and ravines.With the processing of the construction of the highways,many highslope appeared,they bring great difficulties to the design work.While,the design work is still based on the hand-calculating and drawing,the quality and speed can't meet the designers'need.For this,it's highly necessary to develop a pragram to heighten the quality and the effect of the design work.In the GUIZHOU region, rock slopes often fail in such four ways:planar failuer,wedged failure,circular failuer and overturning failure.And the most poprlar slope retaining structures are shown as follows:gravity retaining walls,anchor-stability piles and anchor-frame beams.In this paper,we collected the theories and computational formula for determining the stability of the slopes and checking out the property of the retaining structures.The program,in which Visual Basic 6.0 is adaped in programming,is based on the theory of OPP.It a provides an environment to input parameters and output results.The program is mainly based on the country code:technical code for building slope enigineering(GB50330-2002) and the theories mentioned above.In order to output the calculationsheet and construction drawing,the program creats a connection with the Office software and AutoCAD software by the thchnique of ActiveX.The program has three functions:inputting parameters,calculating and outputting results. In the input part,we can import the security levels,numerical methods,scantling of the structures,the physical and mechanical parameters of the rock and soil medium etc.And the designing part is combined by the theories and technical code.In the output part,we can get the calculationsheet and the the construction drawing.The calculationsheet is in the form of doc,including the internal force diagram,the global stability-checking,the strength-checking of the steel and the concrete etc.The construction drawing is in the form of dwg,including dimensional drawing,detail drawing,reinforcement drawing,schedule of quantities,construction notices etc.
