Pressure vessels are special pressured equipments with explosion hazard. Heavy casualties such as fire disaster and poisoning caused by explosion or leakage seriously will seriously affect social production, economic development, and people's lives and property. Therefore, security evaluation on the defects during the process of use is necessary to ensure safety production.As National Pressure Vessel Safety Supervision Departments requires safety control informatization of pressure vessel, this paper designed and developed the Computer Management Information System for defect data management and evaluation on pressure vessels in service, especially imported second-hand pressure vessel. According to"Safety Assessment for In-service Pressure Vessels Containing Defects"(GB/T19624—2004), needs analysis, preliminary design and detailed design are completed based on software engineering and object-oriented design methods. Then, the system builds the standard database and algorithm database for defect data management, defect evaluation, data fusion, report and query. The system can calculate and analyze the defect data, make failure assessment diagram (FAD) picture of the defect automatically, and finally complete plane defect data management, simplified assessment and routine assessment. For different test data with different detection methods, the system can make the decision fusion with the data fusion method, which will improves detection accuracy.In conclusion, the computer aided management system for pressure vessel safety supervision can make the decision fusion with the data fusion methods, improve the calculation and analysis of pressure vessel detective data, and finally improve detection efficiency, objectivity and accuracy. This project has passed the appraisal of Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (No.[2010]043). Application in a launch station in Xichang satellite launch center (China) greatly facilitates the management of force special equipment supervision departments, improves the detection efficiency and achieves good effect.
