A320 Series Aircraft Automatic Flight System Fault Diagnosis Expert System

The safety is the eternal theme of civil aviation and the basis for the development of aviation. As the number of daily flights is very great and the Autopilot Control System (ACS) is often used in the cruise phase of an flight, which leads to its maintenance tasks arduous. Building the fault diagnosis expert system to improve the efficiency of crew emissions and shorten maintenance time and reduce the costs has important practical significance.In order to build the fault diagnosis expert system of A320ACS,a method of combining fault tree analysis with expert system based on rules is used. Therefore, the basic components and the working principle of expert system is studied,and the principle of Fault tree analysis and how to build the fault tree is studied, and the basic components and the internal linkages and working principle of A320ACS are described in this paper. Besides, which does a solid groundwork for the establishment of fault analysis expert system of A320ACS.In order to get the knowledge to create database, the common faults phenomenon of A320ACS and the reasons of failures are analyzed comprehensively, systematicly and hierarchily in the form of fault tree and generation is used to represent the knowledge. And forward chaining is used to build the inference engine of expert system according to the rules.By using the database management system SQL Server 2000 as a platform to create a knowledge base of fault diagnosis expert system of A320ACS at first, and management system of knowledge base by using database access technology ADO in this paper. With the tool of Visual C++6.0, through programming, this paper creates a fault diagnosis expert system of A320ACS with a friendly interface by using dialogbox technology to achieve the fault diagnosis of A320ACS.It can make the fault diagnosis of A320ACS intelligent and reduce maintenance costs and maintenance time and improve economic efficiency and so on.
