With quick development of the technology of the elevator controller , it is high desirable for the reliability of the elevator controller and for the methods to find and eliminate elevator controller's fault. To insure the reliability of the elevator controller, there are two facts. One is assure the reliability of the elevator controller before the installation, the other is to find the fault and to eliminate it in time while running. In this thesis, it was studied in detail and systematically on how to diagnose the fault of the elevator controller. A fault diagnosis expert system of elevator controller was built.Firstly, in chapter 2, theoretical analysis for the consistent of the elevator controller and it's work principle. Received the characteristic of elevator controller's fault by FMEA(Fault Model and Efficient Analysis). The fault tree was built and fault reason was analyzed. At last, analyzed the characteristic of the expert system and it's merit in elevator controller's fault diagnosis system.Secondly/ in chapter 3, theoretical analysis for the hardware and software consistent of fault diagnosis expert system of the elevator controller, and introduced every part's function. Then introduced the principle of selecting the program language and the technology how to realize mixer programming and how to access database. At last, introduced how to use the fault diagnosis expert system of elevator controller.Thirdly, in chapter 4, theoretical analysis for the method of knowledge acquirement, the method of knowledge denotation, the method of knowledge inference, the method of knowledge explainer during the course of building fault diagnosis expert system of elevator controller.Fourthly, in chapter 5, theoretical analysis for the function of database in the fault diagnosis expert system, and the course of database logic design, then built the table by E-R model of RDBMS. At last introduced how to manage and maintenance the database.Finally, summarized the work that had been finished in the thesis, and prospected what should be done in the future about the thesis.
