This paper mainly discussed about the introduction and cultivation experiment for 2 species of the family of Magnoliaceae. The plots were in Zongyang county ,Anhui province. The physiology and ecology characteristics of the 2 species were analyzed. The author also compared the survival rate, growth index, stress resistance index for the 2 rare tree species. The research result showes as follows:1. The phenological periods were similar as original habitat. One thing was that ,the growth postponed for 15-30 days after introduced into the area of middle and down stream of Yangtze River, and the growth periond was about one month shorter than in the original area.2. All of rare tree species were planted in March 2007 .The survival rates of 2 rare tree species were significantly different. The survival rate of the MangLietia Yuyuanensis was 60%, but for Manglietia insignis was 80%.3. The annual growth of MangLietia Yuyuanensis and Manglietia insignis shows rhythmic growth during 2007 to 2009. Period of slow growth was autumn, winter and spring quarters in one year. Each year in June to September, the annual growth of 2 rare tree species was the fastest.4. For the MangLietia Yuyuanensis and Manglietia insignis the curves of diurnal change in photosynthetic rate are double-peaked. The trends were different for the 2 species, but the peaks appeared at the similar time period from 10:00am to 16:00pm, which was stronger light time. Analyse relevance of photosynthetic rate and physiological﹠ecological factors,The results show that: The most significant impact on MangLietia Yuyuanensis was transpiration rate, the second was PAR; The most significant impact on Manglietia insignis was leaf temperature, the second was Ca.5. After introduction and cultivation experiment in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, we tested sustaining drought stress, four physiological indexes(relative water content, relative permeability of cell membrane, as well as enzyme activity) For both species. The results showed that, MangLietia Yuyuanensis were 80%,0.2/ms.cm-1~0.8/ms.cm-1,3.25mg.g-1 and 3.08mg.g-1 for the 4 index. However, for Manglietia insignis were75%,0.4/ms.cm-1~0.9/ms.cm-1,2.21mg.g-1 and 2.35mg.g-1 respectively.6. We also tested sustaining cold hardiness, physiological indexes(cell membrane permeability, ratios of bound water to free water in their leaves) for the species. The results showed that MangLietia Yuyuanensis and Manglietia insignis was 0.90,1.42 respectively. In different situations, two rare tree species of cell membrane permeability was significantly different.
