The Taxus yunnanensis has ancient origins,it belongs to the Taxaceae Taxus and the No.l level national protecting plant,it mainly grows in 13 places (city) in 40 counties (districts) in the western,northwest,central of Yunnan province,western of Sichuan province and southeastern of Tibet province. Although its distribution is narrow, the number is rare,it contains a variety of taxanes in the bark,including the anticancer drug Taxol which is best selling and most important anticancer drugs all over the world.No matter in species protection,resources exploitation and use,or in the artificial propagation and the value in industry and medical,the changes of growth of Taxus yunnanensis and the concentration of Taxol in the different weather conditions have important research significance.However,the research on the changes of the growth and Taxol concentration of Taxus yunnanensis in the different weather conditions were relatively poor,and then limited the rational use of resou-rces.The same source of seedling was choosed in this study, the seedling age was 2 years and 3 months.Under the conditions of the same soil matrix and planting patterns,and Lijia-ng,Qiubei,Kunming,Puwen,Simao which has different climate types were choosed to be cultivation sites,each cultivation site.has 3 parallel samples,each sample has 20 individual plant,and measured diameter,seedling height,biomass and taxol concentration periodically in one year,and then according to the comparative analysis and research of the data,so to provide a theoretical basis for the plant construction of Taxus yunnanensis.The, major resu-lts are as follows:The diameter growth of Taxus yunnanensis is different under the different climatic conditions,the annual increase in the regions of high temperature and humidity climate is relatively large,and in the low temperature,high-altitude climate regions is opposite,the ann-ual increase of diameter in relatively low temperature climate regions has large differre-nces;the impact of the month and climate types to annual increase in diameter are significa-nt,the increase between the different month,climate regions are both significant;the order of the month increase of diameter is:June~August>August~October>April~June>October~D-ecember>February~April>December~February. The seedling height growth of Taxus yunnanensis is different under the different clim-atic conditions,the annual increase in high temperature and humidity climate regions is rel-atively large,and in the less humidity climate regions is relatively small,the extreme differ-ence of annual increase of seedling height in high temperature and humidity climate regions is relatively large;the impact of the annual increase in seedling height with the month and climate regions are both significant;apart from the increase between the warm sub-tropical humid climate and mountain climate type has no significant differences,all the other climate types have significant differences;and apart from the increase between December-Februar-y and October-December has no significant differences,all the other months have significa-nt differences,the order with the month increase is:June-August> April-June>August-Oct-ober>February-April>October-December>December-February.The annual increase in the above and below ground parts and the biomass in the fresh and dry weight of the different cultivation sites and months was different,the annual growth is mainly in the April to August,and it was greater than the amount of the sum of the other months;the annual increase of biomass in high temperature and humidity climate regions is relatively large, the order of the annual increase of biomass in fresh and dry weight are inconsistent, indicated that the moisture content of the various climatic are inconsistent, the moisture content of Taxus yunnanensis which growed in the high humidity climatic is rela-tively high,and its root system is relatively well-developed;the order of the amount of bio-mass growth with each month are different too.The proportion of content and content differences in diffferent climatic regions were large,and the content proportion in the high temperature,high humidity climate regions are relatively higher,the concent in each moth of each climatic regions varies deeply;in the data of 4 times measured,the content proportion at the last time are relatively smaller; the taxol content are relatively higher with the increase of the biomass in the April to August,while in the August to December,although the biomass is increased,its content is relatively decreased.
