| The public welfare forest is the forest that can be used to provide us the public welfare, the social product or service, for its main function is to maintain and improve ecological environment, to keep ecological balance, to protect the biological diversity, to meet the needs required by human social ecology, human society and its sustainable development. Nowadays the global natural resources is going to be exhausted and the ecological environment is becoming worse day by day, the public welfare effect of the forest is more significant than before. So planting the public welfare forest is the important part to the improvement of the ecological environment. GIS is be extensively used in the forestry, such as the management of forest resources, forest fire prevention, returning farmland to forest and so on. However, GIS is rarely be introduced in the public welfare forest, not to mention that GIS to be introduced in the ecological benefit appraisal and analysis of the public welfare forest. Consequently, the research on the ecological benefit appraisal and analysis of the public welfare forest based on GIS has become a very important and challenging research subject, which is the starting point of study in this thesis.This thesis first generalize and summarize the purpose and significance about the research on the ecological benefit appraisal and analysis of the public welfare forest based on GIS and the current situation of GIS research in the forestry in depth. Then the thesis analyzes the basic concept, method system and basic function of GIS spatial analysis, studying the GIS re-development technology, examining the definition, types and evaluation methods of ecological benefit to the public welfare forest, elaborating the basic methods of spatial analysis. Starting with the process of spatial analysis, this thesis also focuses on the algorithm for setting up buffers and the patterns for drawing the thematic map. Finally, the implementation of GIS spatial analysis functions such as spatial query, buffer analysis and drawing the thematic map has been studied on the basis of spatial analysis model. And GIS spatial analysis re-development methods that based on ArcGIS Engine technology have been discussed. Besides studying the theory, a public welfare forest ecological benefit appraisal and analysis system that based on GIS has been designed and implemented.The research in this thesis indicate that we can build public welfare forest ecological benefit spatial analysis model by taking full advantage of GIS spatial analysis technology. So we can make public welfare forest ecological benefit to be preferably appraised and analyzed. |
